I said in a loud tone almost equavalent to yelling. As I turned around a shadow came out across my face and blocked poison needles from hitting me.

The blood within the circle turned black and disappeared, leaving a vacancy in the pool for a moment, letting shadow fall several feet before the blood filled in the gap. Moments later he surfaced, smiling widely as he swam toward the edge of the blood pool. "What's that about an exit?"
