Why not just use terms based on sexual orientation? Simpler and more efficient.

Sexual orientation can involve romantic and/or sexual attractions. Just saying.

Sorry if I offend anyone, it's just too fun to make fun of. It's like people are so concerned about what title their sexuality has that they forget to actually consider that individuals vary!

Labels help us identify ourselves to others. But they can also limit us. The truth is human sexuality is far more fluid that most people think. And while we do not choose who we are attracted to, who we are attracted to can change over time, giving it the appearance of a choice. This could be as subtle as suddenly liking someone with blond hair instead of brown, or as extreme as suddenly being attracted to someone of the same or different sex.

I would consider myself bisexual but i really don't have much experience with girls, I have only ever kissed and maybe flirted a little. but i have had a few boyfriends.

What matters is what you feel inside, not who you are or have been with. What does your heart tell you?

As cheesy as this sounds, this is exactly what I mean when I make fun of the labels people use. You don't need some tumblr-esque title to love someone.

Yes, labels are largely for other people's benefit. I would love the day where it's not necessary for someone to even need to ask who or what we are.

See that would be nice.  I think the culture around trying to find the cryptic labels actually works against reaching that day.

Like I mentioned, human sexuality is so fluid that on one can really say with any certainty what they are exactly. We're just who we are, and people should just leave it at that. This need of the human race to compartmentalize everything, to fit everything into it's own neat little category, is so counterproductive. As you say, it works against us.

I only identify myself as a bisexual because it helps others understand me a bit better, but not even that word "bisexual" is accurate.
