I'm addicted to completion and achievements, so I tend to just play the same games over and over forever and ever until I've seen and done everything or can't stand the thought of playing it anymore, whichever happens first. I also tend to love "older" (NES/SNES/N64) games since that's what I grew up with. Many of those require that levels are replayed and explored down to the very last pixel, so it's just ended up becoming something I expect and enjoy.


And nah, you just enjoy and appreciate games differently than I do. Nothing wrong with that at all.

gta 5 and the last of us did that perfectly, and so did fallout 4... i love the step up from fallout 3...


i bet you would love a new skyrim? i never played it... i figured it was made by bethseda, cause fallout and skyrim seemed the same...

It also wouldn't surprise me if I'd enjoy the Fallout games as well tho.
I've watched and backseat-played Fallout 3, but never had a chance to try it for myself.
I most certainly am curious, but my laptop would probably go poof if I tried xP

Too long; confirmed nerd; approach with caution:

Only for the storyline things. Once that's done you'll just have to sit down and write your own endings.
But that's part of the fun with huge open games if you ask me. Instead of being told "You're *This or that person*" you get to completely create your own character, background and personality almost "from scratch" with only a few guidelines related to the main storyline (which can actually be ignored completely. I'm lvl 50-something on my favorite Skyrim character and have yet to actually start the whole Dragonborn-business).  *Immersion intensifies*


The newer games -kinda- hint at how the previous games might have ended some time after all the events of the game took place (if you choose to look at it that way), like for example the player character from Oblivion became the new god of madness you encounter in Skyrim, and in Oblivion it's suggested that the player character from Morrowind sailed off to the continent of Akavir.

Yeah, I -love- talking about and/or discussing video game lore. Sadly I fall on the more extreme side of things so it's hard to find people who share the same enthusiasm xP I try to spare people from things like this, but occasionally I can't help myself >->'

Ive spent hours and the elder scrolls. Im ashamed to admit how many. I made it to the island with the stupid werewolves kept dying. I hate the stupid werewolves. I never did find the god thing

I have 583 hours  logged on Skyrim, 245 on Oblivion and 35 on Morrowind.


Also got at least ~100 hours on Elder Scrolls Online I'd imagine.

Sadly, my partner in crime is so busy these days that I "can't" play that (or well, it's more like I don't want to >->' It's just not the same)




Other than that, I'm fine. I actually managed to get something productive done today for a change. I washed a heap of plates. I'm currently considering to pack away all my plates and bowls except for 2 of each. To keep me from completely cluttering up the kitchen with dirty plates and feeling ridiculously overwhelmed every time I think about doing something about them... >->
