Then I guess the means -might- justify the end since I love churches.
But at the same time I don't think I'd do it because "Ohai, commit heresy so we can haz a church" sounds awfully hypocritical.

I don't think I would. I don't really believe in doing things just for quick cash, (especially not offensive things.)

Like, around here people get money and/or other gifts from their families when they go through the confirmation thing at church.
So naturally most kids just do it for the money and the gifts and all that stuff. I chose -not- to do that thing at all, because I don't believe in the Christian god and I didn't like the idea of doing it just for the stuff, like both my siblings did.

I am atheist, but that doesn't mean I don't have beliefs.
You have three primary types of atheism.
Agnostic Atheist: Looking for or open to religion, but not involved in one.
Open/Modified Atheist: Takes beliefs from religions or science, or accepting in general of religion
Religiously Atheist: Solidly believes there is no god, believes science can explain all, eschews ideas of religion.
I myself am an open atheist. I only believe in science, but am accepting of religion.
