It belongs to noone. It was put here in this thread to inspire greatness, but just like with any other mythical thing people don't fully understand, it's lead to wars and petty fights over who it should belong to.
But if our society is ever to grow and prosper, we need to evolve past kratocracy and work together towards whatever it is we want to achieve. If we can't even have peace in our own home thread, how can we ever hope to expand our glorious empire? To make advances in science? Or medicine? Or magic?
All efforts now go towards selfish goals. The same efforts that could go towards trying to grow as a people. We have to stop quarrelling amongst ourselves. As it is now, we are hardly more than petty animals fighting over the last scraps of meat on a week-old carcass.
And I want to hope that we are better than this.

I'm actually seeing this as improvement rather than disappointment.
Last time I held a speech like that I got shot in the face.

I found my old speech from the other thread as well.

Spoiler for such relevance:
*Walks up the hill while everyone else is busy*

I already think these past 840-something pages should be proof enough that kratocracy isn't the way to go.
I think we should all sit down and think of some other way so that this hill can be put to proper use rather than to just be a battleground where people just fly here and there without really thinking ahead.
Why is this hill worth dying for? Or makes it so different from any other hill?
Is that "magical something" something that can be used for the benefit of all?
Then -why- are we fighting over it when we could just sit down and try to figure out a way to make everyone prosper?

We can't progress through eternal war, even tho some discoveries and breakthroughs have been made.
Some actually do argue that only through chaos can the world truly advance and develop, but I'm growing rather doubtful of that considering not much has been achieved here even tho there's been chaos throughout most of the threads existence..
However, while chaos might not be a good master, people with a good sense for opportunities are able to use it to their benefit.

Just sitting down with a single or a few rulers won't do either. While it might feel more safe to know exactly what's going to happen and how things are going to be thanks to the power being granted to only a few select people, chances are things grind to a halt and no new ideas are ever tried or searched for. And once "the old ways" no longer work, there will be chaos again.

Voting might sound like a good idea, but there's too much hush-hush and too many opportunities for false play and bribery it's no fun. And all the "VOTE FOR ME AND YOU'LL HAVE FREE BOOZE AND WIDER SIDEWALKS!!"-people who never deliver on their promises.
It also tend to end up with the loudest and most charismatic people ending up winning, even tho "that boring guy noone remembers" had a better idea on how to do things while the popular guy might not even have thought further than "No taxes and free health care". We can all see where this is going, right? Chaos.

So what do I suggest?

I envision a peaceful hill. Where people are equal and free from tyranny.
How does one achieve that? Well, I'm now trying to reason with people.
Fighting without knowing why is pointless.
If we ever want to create whatever it is we want to create, we have to calm down and work together rather than against each other.

I'm also well aware that there are individuals who would never accept a peaceful world. Not everyone will see reason, but not everyone have to.
If even only a few could see what I'm trying to say, there's hope for a much brighter future rather than the endless squabbel we have now.

And sadly, those who refuse to see this, must be dealt with for the benefit of all.
Seeking power only for powers sake is never a good thing. Tyranny and corruption is a blight.

So, for that reason, I now claim the hill for the greater good and will continue to do so until it's no longer necessary, while also hoping that others would do the same.. There will always be doubters out there and all support is welcome, but nothing I want to force from anyone.

Peace, Balance, Freedom.
