Actually, I had slightly grotesquer plans, indeed...
I was originally going for
this absolute beauty!
But, once I actually looked into it, it turned out that it didn't actually do anything better than the L85A2 I already have.
It wasn't more compact than the L85, and neither did it weigh less, and because it's not a bullpup, the barrel was also a lot shorten than on the L85. And, I met someone on the range who had that exact gun, and got to shoot it a few times, and nope. I don't really like the balance either. Even the ergonomics around the trigger felt weird.
The only thing that the APE does better is that it just looks soo gosh-darn sexy! But, yeah, when it comes to preformance, I actually kinda bought the cream of the crop, when I chose the L85A2.
But, it's still a big-ass, full-sized, service gun, and I need something really, considerably smaller, and more wieldable. Hence, the MX5!
Oh, and want a tip, if you ever want to play airsoft? Don't buy from Evike...
It's an unbelievable hassle to convince those dweebs that you're legally allowed to own an airsoft gun in your country, and with all the taxes and import/shipping fees, you don't even end up cheaper either. Plus, stores from the US have the tendency of selling you their crappies wares, because you're not going to pay 80 bucks of shipping for a return, anyway.
Just buy from Europe... Plenty of shops to choose from, here!
