And now I'll have it back, ta!
Funnily enough, I've found plenty to do with Japanese, before I even consider traveling to Japan! Though, of course, I'd love to go
I was actually chatting something like that with a friend of a friend at Sonic Symphony who said that he had no reason to keep up with Japanese, now that he was no longer in Japan.
It feels like everything I am interested in, I benefit from what I've learnt! Whether it's my favourite comics and manga, shows & tv & anime -- or to a deeper extent, the fanbases of those properties -- I always find myself busy! I've made a few friends who speak Japanese only, because we are fans of the same thing - it's not always a Japanese property, sometimes it's a Japanese fan who is coming to a British property, and is delighted that we can somewhat chat
I get to read so much additional content, for the things I like, too - but sometimes that's a curse - because it can take them years to translate these things! There's finally an official translation of RockMan San (Mr. Megaman), which has been available in Japanese for since 2021 -- Which is a bit silly -- but the Robot Masters are incredible in that one, so I'm glad to see more people can read it
I'm still waiting for them to translate the One Piece Magazine's Trafalgar Law novel... And this one gag manga they did about a boy in our world who looks like Coby, which is just jokes about people who look like One Piece characters
It's SO funny! But also Japanese-exclusive! Raaaah!
