Does anyone know of any generally cheap fursuiters?
« on: April 24, 2014, 04:19:58 PM »
Hi,

I'm pretty new to the furry fandom and I don't know any good affordable fursuiters. Right now I'm just looking for a head thats maybe around 400-600$.
I'm still working on a fursona, but I don't think it will end up being to elaborate.

Thank you in advance.

I'd recommend checking here http://www.furbuy.com/listings/cat5.html
Prices and skill levels vary a lot, but sometimes it's possible to find really nice heads for pretty affordable prices. I found my head on there back in the days.

Unless you find someone who takes commissions within that price range you won't be able to decide much on what it will look like, but there are lots of heads and suits out there looking for homes, and maybe if you're lucky you'll find one that's "what you're looking for" and you can make that into your fursona? (I did something similar with my fursuit head. I got the head first and came up with the character while waiting for it to arrive.)

Fursuits are really expensive because they take a lot of time and skill to make. They're very labour intensive and most suit makers don't even make minimum wage! I suggest saving up for a nice, well built suit - or if you're not looking for a bespoke suit an auction site might be the best option for you.
