well what got me into metal was a mate of mine, he was into nu metal and a lot of melodic death metal.... my first metal band was disturbed , im really into lighter alternative 'metal' bands like system of a down, avenged sevenfold and seether :3 slipknot is another favorite,,,,, and in flames!! and mayhem!!! :D omg i could go on but i dont wanna overdo it.. smell you folks later  ^_^

omfg lol isnt "Mayhem" the band where the lead singer blew his brains out and they actually used it as an album cover?

I think his name was Dead (Per Yngve Ohlin),  that cover was used in their live album "The Dawn of the Black Hearts", I also heard that the band members made necklaces from pieces of his skull.
