Personally I'm more a fan of drone and noise music so my only real connection to metal is when they cross over.

Dr. Dogteeth (drdogteeth.bandcamp.com) and Sunn O))) are my personal favourites, but on the more vanilla side, my boyfriend introduced me to Black Sabbath and Opeth.

The Mars Volta isn't metal but the story behind their album "The Bedlam in Goliath" is pretty metal tbh.

I've been listening to Der Weg einer Freiheit, a black metal band from Germany, and I've got to say that it's just absolutely stunning. I've been binge listening to their albums, especially their demo.


If you've never heard of Ramlord, I highly recommend you do. It takes the best parts of doom metal and black metal and throws in a bunch of influence of punk and atmospheric elements. Their debut album, Stench of Fallacy, is a great intro to get into them.

As much as I hate to admit it, yea, they're a metal band. Musically, they fit the genre.

I hate music/radio apps for metal. today I was listening to stuff like autopsy, pestilence, and gorguts, and kept getting trolled with stuff like, crowbar, hatebreed, and disturbed. just because its "heavy".

I guess technically yes. Their album City of Evil is certainly metal. I am not familiar with the rest of their discography though so I can't comment too much otherwise.
