*I turn to Data.* "Look, if we find her...I stress IF...we'll help her.  Any way necessary.  You know where she lives?"

*stirs slightly, and rises from his bedsheet, noticing the new people.*

*I turn quickly, and draw my handgun, pointed at the fox.* "You're the only new face here, bud."

"Hey he's with us.." *i say in a sleepy voice*

"Noted." He says, raising his hands "But it's all about perspective. To me, you're new."

*I nod, and lower the handgun, pulling the magazine from it.* "Oh, good...I'm dry anyway." *I drop the gun and magazine.* "So who're you, then?" *I nod at the fox.*

"Jeffrey Hightower. Former lieutenant in the US army." He says, offering his hand to shake

*I stare at Jeffery for a moment, before pointing at him, accusingly.* "The army?! You guys left me in a facility for god-knows how long!?  I sat there for ever! Waiting for the evacuation that never came!"

"Well Christ. Sorry I couldn't help you"he says, sarcastically

"But I was kinda IN NEW YORK FIGTING FOR MY LIFE!!"

*I stare at him.* "I saw the convoys! I saw the choppers! You promised an evacuation.  But you weren't there...Why weren't you there?" *I sit down, knees pulled to my chin.*

[Ryan Naismith]

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD TO DO?" He yells, his face livid "I had to watch."he growls "As my men died, I could do nothing. All we could do was sit there, hoping that we weren't the next one. We tried to save people. We tried. We couldn't even let people into our base. Some nut job General said 'it's not worth it.' We had to turn them away! All of them!  And then we still kept dying from the Stenches!"

All of the sudden, his face turns from livid anger to fear.

"Nononono! Get the f*ck away from me! I won't let you turn me into one of them!" He grabs his rifle, and stuffs it under his muzzle
"I-I can't! I won't!" He keeps relating those two words, rocking back and forth, tears streaming from his face.

*I shake my head, and grab the rifle from Jeffery.  I slap him across the face.* "Pull yourself together, soldier! You've got civilians, they're looking up to you!" *I throw the rifle to the ground, and walk outside.*

"Gah..." He says, wiping his eyes "Sorry. Bad memories. Really bad. Thanks for that." With that, jeffrey grabs his rifle, and follows rayleonardo (haven't got your real name yet)

*I sit outside, watching as buildings burn, caught in my thermo-baric explosion.* "Oops...I forgot about the...uh...Yeah...heh." *I turn to Jeffery.* "Sorry...I never introduced myself.  I...well...Test Subject Orion 813." *I tear the other sleeve from my jumpsuit, revealing the bar code tattoo on my right paw.*
