Nothing i know of going on but we like our holidays so im sure now that valentines day is   over they have something going on for the next one.

Does christmas start in july over there too or is that just an american thing?

no, usually its august over her before Christmas starts, and Santa starts visiting parties and things in October.

By Christmas, I am usually sick of Christmas

We have christmas in july which is pretty much a holiday the stores made up where they flood the tv with commercials telling us how we can save money if we get our christmas shopping done early
