Smells are really important to me.
So important that I'd almost prefer to go deaf or blind rather than to lose my sense of smell.
I especially love a certain sweet-yet-spicy smell. I have no idea what to describe it as, but I find it so enticing I forget both time and space when being close to someone who smells like that. Sometimes, it can also help cure my migraines.
Another thing with that certain smell is that the only two times where I've grown obsessed (or maybe the correct term is "became madly infatuaded") with someone, they both smelled like that.
I also get "cuddle-hangovers" from that smell if I've been in it for long enough.
Then my brain feels all numb, the world suddenly becomes a perfect beautiful place and all I want to do is sleep and never wake up. Pure bliss.
I also tend to remember peoples smells better than their faces or names.
Too sweet or "only-sweet" smells make me feel sick tho, and lavender tends to give me headaches.
Some other smells I like are tar, pine trees, birch trees, alder trees, rain-wet forests, tobacco smoke (I don't smoke, but I certainly do not mind standing near people who do. Guess I could be considered a semi-active passive smoker or something), gasoline, "normal" smoke, coffee, new-cut grass, kittens, cats, horses, that thing they put on horses to keep stuff away, the sea, hay, cucumber soap, leather, sawdust, new-bought opened game covers, books, rubber boots, cat pee and salmiac.
...Fun interesting facts indeed...
