[Aconitum]

Acon hesitated and averted her eyes to the steering wheel. "Ray, why don't you ask Herman for some time off? You could use a break."

Ray sighed. "Y-You think I should? I mean...I've liked working, I really have. I just...would he give me a break?"

[Aconitum]

Acon thought a moment then shrugged. "I don't see why not. He likes you and thinks you're one of his best. That's more than I can say." She chuckled. "Besides, you're more of a friend to him than just another goon. Didn't he invite you for drinks last week? He doesn't do that for just anyone."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed. "Herman's idea of drinks was another hit...the only way he could get the target to come out was to invite him to a public place. Herman brought me so I could wipe everyone's memories..."

[Aconitum]

"Ah. That explains the look on his face that said he knew something I didn't." Acon shrugged. "Well, you should still ask. And if he says no, I'll pull out moody hormonal daughter on him and he'll have to say yes."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed, and nodded. "Okay, I'll talk to him about it." He smiled in relief, as they pulled into the estate drive. "You think he's awake?"

[Aconitum]

Acon looked up at the house as she pulled into the garage. "I hope so. Cause he won't be happy if I go and wake him up." Acon shut off the car and climbed out.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray got out of the car, and walked into the house. He walked to Herman's office, and tapped his paw lightly on the door. Ray whispered. "Mr. Lovien? Are you awake?"

[Aconitum]

"Rayleonarde! Come in, come in." He bellowed from behind the door, seated at his desk.

[Farewell]

*Gaia walked around with Jacob* "the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" *she stares up amazed by the beauty*

Ray stepped in, and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He paused, and took a step back. His normally well kept hair was extremely messy, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. He shook his head, and flattened his hair, as he approached Herman's desk. "Mister Lovien. I would like to request...some time off?"

"Yes but not as much as you."*He smiles while looking at Gaia*

*she kisses his cheek* "ohh stop.." *she smiles back*

Herman chuckled and motioned for Ray to take a seat. "Rayleonarde, how many times must I tell you? Just call me Herman; you're family now." Herman had infant never asked Ray to call him by his first name before now. "You want some time off? Perhaps you need me to do your work for you too? Maybe spoon feed you when you're sick? And do your girlfriend when you're too tired?" Herman's sarcasm was strong and spiteful. He had on a smile that seemed to say 'You better have something else to say to me.'

Ray sighed. "Acon and I completed the assignment, if Lana hasn't already told you." Ray stood. "That is all I have to report, sir." He walked to the door, and walked out. He sat in a nearby chair, and held his head in his paws. "I'm gonna fall apart..."
