[Farewell]

*it was night and Gaia decides to take a walk humming to herself*

Ray shouted at Magnolia. "You aren't helping! Get me out of here!" Ronnie hit him in the side of the head, and yelled. "Shut it! Giovanni, can I take his finger now?"  Giovanni motioned for him to wait, as he spoke to Magnolia. "Is that your only offer? I assume that Herman's leaving Ray out to dry, so to speak. So I don't imagine I'll be getting any compensation for him.  Your daughter offered anything I wanted for him, just to negotiate the price, maybe you'll give me something more worthwhile?"

[Aconitum]

Magnolia forced Ray's head up with paw under his chin. "Anything for you, old friend. What would you like?" She turned Ray's head to the side to examine the rest of his face.

[Rayleonarde]

Giovanni shrugged. "Besides the money?  I'll need Herman to pay protection again, not nearly as much as last time, just a few hundred a year would work. I'd also like an apology for what happened, from Herman."  Ronnie looked at Magnolia, before pressing the knife against Ray's finger.

[Aconitum]

Magnolia chuckled. "I can get protection out of him, but it'll be hard to get to swallow so much pride on one spoon. Done." She agreed with a smile as she forcefully pushed Ray's head away from her.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray winced, as Ronnie backed away. However, Ronnie delivered a massive cheap shot to Ray's ribs, before walking away. Ray picked himself up, and stood beside Magnolia, waiting for her.  Giovanni was pleased with the turn of events, and smiled. "If your husband doesn't follow through, Mags, we'll be taking Ray back."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia turned a smile to Giovanni. "Understood. Don't worry, you'll get all that you asked for." Magnolia ushered Ray out to her car and slid into the drivers seat.

Ray climbed into the passenger seat, and was clearly visible in the well lit car. His face was bruised, and cuts bled slightly on his arms. He looked at Magnolia, and smiled. "T-Thank you for that. I...I don't know why you helped."

[Aconitum]

"You make my daughter happy. Nothing brings me more joy than to see a smile on her face. Plus, you look too much like someone I used to know for me to just... leave you there." Magnolia started the car and drove off toward the house. In the car ride back, she called Herman to tell him what he needed to do. "Mags what the hell?! I am not apologizing to that smug son of a b**ch!"

Ray heard Herman's outburst, and slid lower in his seat. He wasn't too keen on going back there, and hoped Magnolia could convince Herman to swallow his pride.

[Aconitum]

Magnolia clenched her teeth. "You are being a stubborn mule! If it weren't fir him, you wouldn't be where you are now!" She shouted. "If it weren't for him, Acon would never have been shot in the back of her head to begin with!" He growled. Magnolia threw her phone out the car window and made a sharp u turn I'm the direction of the estate.

Ray's head bounced against the window. He shook to clear his vision, and looked at Magnolia. "W-What are we doing?"

[Aconitum]

"We're going to go scare some sense into Herman." She growled, keeping her cold eyes on the road like a mad woman. She sat up straight in her seat and spread closer to the estate. Her face took on a plotting grin when the house came into view, but it was clear Magnolia had no intention on slowing down. She accelerated a bit more up the hill that lead to the driveway.

Ray held onto the safety handle, as they sped towards the estate. He breathed a sigh of relief, when they stopped at the gate. "T-Thanks for not plowing through that."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia fixed Ray with an odd look. "Oh heavens no! I wouldn't crash through the gate. Do you think I have a death wish?" The gate opened and Magnolia stepped in the gas, driving up through the back lawn. "I'm gonna crash through the house." Magnolia drove the car straight into Herman's office.
