Zanthe tensed up and blushed darkly as Devin rubbed her bruise, an odd mix of pain and comfort flowing through her. Watching him leave, she laid back on the couch and cleaned off her switchblade, slipping it back into her pocket as she waited for Devin to come back.

*he smiled and pats her shoulder* "okay.." *he stood and walked over to the kitchen. When he arrived to the fridge he opened the freezer taking a ice pack out and walking back over to the couch and sat down. He puts his arm over her and slowly brings her down making her torso and head lay down and rest on his lap* "this might feel weird at first..." *he lifts her shirt back up looking at the bruise and gently places the ice pack down on it applying just a tiny bit of pressure*

Zanthe winced a little, arching her back and shivering as Devin pressed the ice pack against her bruise. Blushing, she looked up at Devin as she became used to the feeling. "For a rude man, he could-  mmf- hit hard," she said, shivering a little as the coldness seeped through her fur. The catfox sighed and drummed her thumbs nervously against the couch, feeling a little self-conscious about how much of her body Devin was seeing.

Ray was discharged from the hospital for lack of funds and insurance. He stepped outside, and gingerly walked about, trying not to upset his broken bones. Ray sighed, and shivered, as a nasty wind kicked up, bringing snowfall with it. Ray could see his breath, as he exhaled, shivering. He started making his way home, and realized it would be about forty-five minutes until he got there. But that calculation was on a normal stride, with his hobbled gait, it'd take him at least an hour.

Well that was nothing to be honest he could of hit harder I just think he couldn't because he was injured...but you'll be fine" *he smiles and rubs her stomach softly as his large paw ran through her fur avoiding the bruise and the icepack* "you got soft fur.." *he chuckled blushing a bit*

Ray extricated himself from a dumpster, and continued towards his 'house'. He figured he'd covered about half of the distance, and needed a place to warm up. Decomposing garbage does well in a pinch. Ray sighed, and limped onward.
