Ray sat down in the small cafe, setting his pack beside his seat. The sun glinted off of the silver buttons on his uniform, and reflected off of his boots. He watched, as Herman and Magnolia shared a moment together, and he smiled. Ray wasn't the one who usually got happy for another, and was rarely happy himself, but he smiled as they stood together. He hoped that, maybe one day, he too, would have someone of his own. Ray blinked, and shook his head, shouting at himself mentally. What woman would want a man like you, huh!? Such a checkered past, and you're too ruthless to boot! You'd have her out of the house if you even thought she was conspiring against you! He sighed, and accepted his fate to be alone. Ray hoped Herman's relationship with Magnolia would last. He liked Magnolia, personally. She was just as, if not more, ruthless than himself. Granted, she'd been doing off paper work, where everything Ray had done was recorded. Magnolia also seemed to keep her composure, no matter what happened. Ray recalled one time, back when he was still Obersturmfurher, how she whipped Wilhelm, then Ray's machinegunner, because there was a rough spot on his boots. He sighed, and looked on. If only there was another like her...maybe then I'd have a chance.
