Specific questions about the rules of making a fursuit
« on: October 11, 2014, 07:20:39 PM »
I am a beginner at furry fandom and had a couple questions:

I was putting together a Halloween costume and wanted to make it into a fur suit.

The fluffy collar and paws are completely handmade, but the shirt and pants were put together, it took much time and effort to find the items. I love the tail and collar colors a lot, they tie in the mask and body color very well with the mixed tans and browns.

I know that a lot of fur suits are made from scratch but I wanted to know if it was okay to add on to what I have.

The tail and mask are ordered off the Internet and I really love them, do you think customizing these items such as adding beaded hair to the mask and perhaps facial hair and a handmade hat would be considered acceptable in the furry world?  What are your suggestions?

What thoughts do you have about my body suit? How do you think I should wear the scarves? What other suggestions do you have about improving my suit?

What do you mean 'acceptable in the furry world'?

I'm pretty sure the whole premise behind fursuiting is being who/dressing how you want and having fun, so as long as you're doing that I'd say you're good :3 There aren't any 'rules' you have to follow to be a furry xP

And your suit looks fine! As for the scarf, maybe you can wear it tied over the collar?
