Aaron lay still in Animus' arms awhile. To be honest he was enjoying the softness and the warmth of his friend in the cool bus. He stopped dry retching first. After a while he stopped coughing too. He lay there, curled up, his breathing becoming gradually less ragged after about twenty minutes.
Nobody had moved, save for one blank looking cat on the seat nearest who seemed to make a show of gasping and looking around.
Aaron slowly opened his eyes. His mouth was a little open at the nose to breathe, but it soon curled into a smile as his tails curled around like usual.
*I over-exerted myself...I just can't leave well enough alone...when a challenge comes. Hehe...now look at me...laying in Ani's arms like this...* Aaron thought slowly as his breathing did the same. He fixed an eye on Animus. His face was naturally sharp but even so just being a fox made his sliver of an iris and his curly smile cause him to look sly.
*Did...have I...scared him? Oh...look at him. I've scared him...I'm such a...jerk? A fool...? I dunno...*
Aaron's chest rose and fell almost peacefully. Animus was really warm and comfy. He accidentally made a stupid smacking noise with his mouth as he made to speak.
"Hey..." He said squeakily, groggily. He sounded as though he had just woken up. He raised a paw and gripped Animus' knee. Then he wiggled his head and ears by ani's hand, secretly hoping for a pat.
He was a sucker for pats...even though there were a bunch of people around Aaron didn't have the energy to care.
"W' made th' bus..."
