"Well, we have two options," Aaron said as he scratched his head. "We can either stay with my family, an hour out of my hometown...or we can stay with...my master..."
Aaron mumbled that last part and cringed. He saw Animus' expression and blinked.
"That's tea by the way."
Home...what a daft idea. He had only met this guy a few days ago but already he was getting comfortable, as if this new lifestyle had been in place for ages.
Aaron wasn't sure which 'he' he was thinking about.
Aaron sighed and sipped at his tea. He wasn't comfortable, he was I'll at ease. So why was he suddenly planning to just up and take Animus to the Blade family graves?
And accommodation...sleeping in a car would be less painful. Furthermore if the both went to stay with Aaron's remaining family in the Blade estate there was no doubt Animus would be socially tortured; he didn't have enough mental or emotional strength to either fly under the radar if be respected by the Blades. Aaron himself wasn't even respected; he was considered a runt. And if the blades saw Aaron and Animus as 'together'...they'd both be majorly chewed out.
So that just left master. He lived locally, and he treated everyone equally: with derision. At least he wouldn't lay a paw on Animus then. Animus was quite obviously Aaron's Destroyer. As such, he was Aaron's problem.
Either way it was going to be a nasty trip. Why, why, WHY could Aaron not just stay home and play games, watch movies?
He knew, though. He was in an uncertain period in his life. He just had to throw himself into the fray and I his healing after.
"I can...try to make you look a bit less effeminate, if you like. You can borrow some of my clothes. I'll fix your hair, but then we need to go. The trip is long and sucks pretty badly."
