I think I see what's happening.


Nathan died during combat but the crystal and his partner, fortunately close enough, healed him.
After that, Sub called in the spirits to go fetch each protector.
Right now, Kiinia is meeting the 'wisp', then Sub should meet up with everyone else one by one. And you and me Ben... Our part can't work if we're not posting.
Our target is Jacobs, first.. we dont know where any of these protectors are yet, or that their gems exist or that they have them.
I mean, you know... probably, by legends or something, my character doesn't. But I plan on having him develop a voice that tells him who has the gems.. most of the time. other times the voice will just bother him. Afterall, my character is insane.

So, umm... what would happen to everyone if the gems were put together?
or what if the gem was taken but the ex-owner is still alive?

If the gems were put together it would mean that theyd all become immortal. But theyd all be forced to stay at the crystals side to keep it safe.
and if the ex owner is alive... if they are separated long enough their wounds that were healed from the shard would slowly return
