Clare just sat calmly and ate her pie.


Ardys padded up behind Tim and Foxy, looking over at the human. "Things have devolved into insanity now, haven't they?" she murmured gruffly.

The hand of the figure moved away from her back, forming a fist as she growls: "I am NOT a human."

Michen looked at Ardys. "I thought things were insane enough already, but apparently not."

[Ara Av-Toa]

The figure took back to her original corteousy as she said: "Perhaps I should introduce myself. I am a autonomous executable file. A self-controlling program, if you will. And my name is Che. Che.EXE, version 5.3.47. Nice to meet you."

Foxi, upon hearing that the figure wasn't a human, stopped hiding her face with her wings. "More insanity than they ever have before," she muttered in agreement with Ardys. She jumped to her paws and walked over to the figure. "Right, then... in that case, I'm Foxi Kitsune Ravenheart. I'm a catfox. Well, a catfox with some wolf in me somewhere."

Che answered: "Ah, ok... Not what I'd expected, but anyway." She put out a hand.

"Can my owner put you in the recycle bin?"

"Woohhh... Well this resolved itself quickly. Hm, you do look like ... a V.I., an extremely advanced v.i.

Che answered Michen first: "No, because he has no authority to edit me." Then she turned to Tim: "Yes, it's nice to meet you too... Tim, wasn't it? And if you were implying Virtual Instrument with V.I.: Why, yes I am."

Foxi sniffed at the virtual human-thingy. "Odd. You don't smell like anything..." she muttered.

Che sighed. "Of course not. What is computer code supposed to smell like in the first place?"

Foxi shrugged. "It's just odd for something... alive... to have no scent. So, where are you from?"

[Ara Av-Toa]

Che replied: "Am I really 'alive'? I mean. I'm the result of a stream of binary code. I'm a program. Programs do not 'live', they 'exist'. We are practically liveless. Anyway, I come from the mind of a single user. I'm a result of his imagination. But should you really wish to know: have you ever heard of TRON?"
