Pain of Pleasure

     "Should I grab him?" Aaron asked quickly.
     "No, but please smudge these circles. They are detaining me more than my current living quarters."
     "Fine." Aaron grumbled and knelt down. He licked a paw and started wiping.

Animus hid in a classroom and trembled, "why? why is everyone so mean?" he held his ears as  a tear rolled down his cheek, "i just... wanted to see daddy"

Vess heard yelling, and went back to investigate the school yet again. The school was just as scary as it was before, but he was more familiar with it, so it was slightly less so. He drew his pistol, and called out "hello? This is the sheriff, I'm here to help!"

Animus widened his eyes as he heard someone calling out claiming to be the sheriff, he quickly switched hiding spots, the floor boards creaked loudly

     "Hey." Aaron said, smothering enough of animus' nose and mouth to prevent sound but not breathing. "I've got nothing against you, kid, unless you get us busted for trespass and cult activity. I can get us out of here but you need to follow my instructions."

Ray sat against a wall of the Sentinel. How long have I been in here? Days? Weeks? Or only minutes? That light...it never changes. He knocked his head against the wall lightly, waiting for someone to find him.

Animus let out a muffled squeal, he blushed as his body pressed back against Aaron's he grabbed Aaron's arm and tried pulling him off. Failing at that, he pulled a leather wallet out of his pocket and opened it for Aaron to see. 'Official Paranormal investigator' it read with his photo and a governmnt seal

Vess came across the circle, and immediately spoke into his radio
"Uh... Looks like we've got a trespasser here, left some kind of demon circle...requesting backup." He sighed, leaning against the window, waiting. It was likely that they would gain some fingerprints and DNA from this scene.

     "Hello." Joanne said. She smiled at the ID but said nothing about it. "The police are here. I sense they are going to comb the building. Sorry about this."
     Joanne reached out towards the surprised pair and lightly touched Animus' face. She tampered with his memories and knocked him out cold - neither if it was permanent, but she knew what she was doing.
     "Let us go." She said to Aaron. "No heroics. Leave the boy here - he will face light charges at worst. Please leave here now."
     Joanne seemingly fizzled I to thin air. Aaron took one last look at Animus and left the area.

    THE NEXT DAY

     Aaron was lounging around on the couch. Master Cross was out at the moment. He kept wondering about those two he had met earlier. Only hours ago.
     The only thing the coppers had found was the food stash and best Joanne had made in the vents. The building was closed for full inspection today. Apparently the Animus kid was a light sleeper and had presumably gotten away. But from what, and for how long?
     Aaron wondered about the wolf. Wax it worth trying to find him? It should the fox lay low awhile. Eventually he decided to search for other mysteries, although Joanne was the main thing in his mind. As he worried about whether it big he would see her again, Aaron came to himself standing by the entrance of Sentinel. He shrugged and made inside to explore it a little. After all, the sea breeze was nice.

Ray heard someone open the front door, and panicked. His mind had broken, as the unwavering light had driven him mad. Ray scrabbled about, and ducked behind a pillar.

     "Is someone in here?" Aaron asked curiously. He heard a few stones skitter into some unseen place. He placed a hand beneath his scarf.
     "Hello?"

Ray shook his head, and shot into another room. It's just a hallucination, just a hallucination. He watched the doorway, from the shadows in the corner.

     "Sorry. You let me see you when you went to find cover. You should have stayed hidden." Aaron said from behind Ray. He grabbed Ray by the scruff of the neck and hauled him up, with some difficulty.
     "Feel like explaining why you're skittering around like a wounded animal?" Aaron offered as politely as possible. He was speaking in a calm and pleasant voice.

Ray broke away from Aaron, and crouched low. "Stay away!" His eyes seemed to be covered in a thin film.

Animus kicked Aaron lightly in the shins, "how about you try not forcefully stopping poeple hm?" he huffed and opened a book, "he is trapped in th sentinel daze...." Animus opened his waist satchel and opened a cordial filled with water, he spoke softly to Ray, "everything is gonna be alright. im going to get you out of here okay? just try to stay still" Animus made a cross like symbol with he cordial making water splash out, "as we were once pure of the Other... make use pure once more, oh child of this world be free of the affliction you have been given." Animus whispered a few foreign words and hoped for the best
