Waiven looked at Shane's circle and gave a soft smile, "there's your problem... you think and focus too hard... im not saying you shouldnt try but... here..." Waiven grabbed Shane's paw very lightly, "magic isnt a single layer to most, sometimes you have to perform it several times before it becomes apparent, after that it should get easier but here," he slowly moved Shane's paw in slow circles, "you may not feel it at first either..... but just let it flow... dont be impaient or it blows up in your face... no pun intended...."
He always seemed ooser around Shane, probably because they have been around each other for so long. "Yes magic is explained in books as well.... but magic is mre feeling and emotion than just words on paper"

     "I know that." Shane mumbled as he focused on the circle. But of course what he felt was complicated - his emotion clouded his raw sensation, and that caused unnecessary destabilisation in the overall flow.
     Shane had tried adding extra stability circles...but...a week in hospital in the burn ward had seen that as a failure.
     Failure...
     Failure...
     Failure...
     The ring started expanding...
     "Sh-t, fu-k, no!" Shane yelped, closing his fingers around the circle as it grew right through them. The circle broke, and fire - !
     The fire streamed around and over the heads of everyone and into an Absorption Miltilayer Circle which floated above the single claw of Tarin Adarts. Shane's father.
     The huge black wolf laughed and stride past the group.
     "It figured I'd find my boy here, about to cause another disaster in public. I thought you vowed never to endanger the general public again, after your big blow-up!" He laughed.
     Shane stood up, anger in his eyes.
     "Well I've improved a little," Shane said with a smile that spat daggers.
     "Good for you," Tarin waved an airy hand.
     "Yeah...good for me!" Shane's face twitched.

Waiven had hung around Shane enough to figure out his angered smiles among other facades, he placed his paw on Shane's arm, he then smiled to Tarin, "Hi Mr.Adarts. How have you been?"
Waiven brushed his tail against Shane's back, he always enjoyed it when Waiven did that.

     "So. What 'amazing' new breakthrough have you come up with this time?" Tarin asked sarcastically enough.
     The furs nearby grinned and laughed - what a day to witness some loving banter between their hero and his son.
     *I WANT TO KILL YOU!* Shane thought.
     "Just something helpful." He smiled dangerously.
     "Really? Do show." Tarin picked at his son's food. Shane growled - out loud - and created a circle about the size of his head. Again symbols coursed along his arm.
     "Are you going to show me or explain it like a fool?" Tarin sighed, thinking a holo-sign was coming.
     Shane built up the spell...

"Sh-Shane... dont let him antagonize you... " he gripped Shane's arm, "please..." he whispered

     *Now!* Shane thought. The symbols flashed and arranged themselves in the circle.
     -Wham! wha-wha-wham! Wham!- five fireballs exploded out of the circle and flew at Tarin, who with an airy wave of his hand had the fireballs dissipate in one of his own huge circles.
     "I trust that effect was a mistake, boy." He said with a grin and a sword in his tone.
     "No. It wasn't actually." Shane growled.
     "Would you like to face off outside, boy? As Guardian and Trainee?" Tarin challenged.
     "About time you asked, you relic!" Shane stood up with an air of fury, no longer caring about the public or how they viewed him and his family.
     "Hm, eager. What about your previous reunion?" Tarin said with a condescending smile. He expected Shane to back down, however:
     "That can wait, don't ya think!?" Shane stood, turned and wormed his drink. Furious, he tossed it into the central waste bin and made to the exit in a huff. Tarin grinned. This wouldn't last long.

Waiven had made his way outside along with the crowd wanting to see the battle, he looked to Shane then Tarin, "Shane please be careful" he said quietly

     "Back off!" Shane glared at Ven wild-eyed.
     Tarin struck his signature pose, bent at odd angles and with a finger in the air. Shane squared off and started building circles in both hands. So far the only thing coming into his head was the Five-Strike Fireball. Tarin grinned and a circle as wide as a football field expanded on his claw.
     Shane growled low.
     Tarin smiled.

Waiven winced at Shanes outburst and kept away with the crowd.

Mean while, back at where Shane, Thomas, and Waiven had met in the first place, stood a very confused looking newt. His name was Niv and he was looking for where his friends were. "Didn't they say to meet here...oh no did they leave without me! Oh no this is bad...hey wait a minute." Niv adjusted his glasses and noticed a blast mark near a public bench. "Hmm..." Niv looked around and saw a security camera on one of the poles. He carefully directed his thoughts to the camera to start hacking. Within seconds he had access, he played through all the footage in his head and saw all the events that transpired, including what his friends did. "So there at the food court. If i hurry maybe i can catch them. Oh man i hate running." With that he cut the connection and began running to the food court.

     "Moyasu!" Shane roared, junking to to the left and loosing a volley. He stared reconstructing a new circle as the old one expired.
     "Burn it up," Tarin muttered and sent a column of fire down from a single point in the huge circle to extinguish his child's.
     Shane moved closer and loosed another volley, again recreating a circle in his hand. He couldn't keep it up long, his concentration would waver.
     Tarin smiled and made two circles with his free hand; one in his index and end fingers. The first blocked the oncoming  Fivestrike Fireball and the other returned the favour.
     Unable to shoot so accurately Shane turned to dodge. His concentration slipped and both circles he held exploded. The raw magic manifested in two small pressure caves which sent Shane far to the side.
     He had wasted all that energy just to lose ground.
     And what was worse, more Fivestrikes were coming...

Waiven gripped his hands tight together, "Shane!" he was worry eyed

As Harker went downstairs, a strong blast of fire magic power suddenly bursted that filled the whole HUD on his goggle with a bright red color. And he could feel, even without the wave detector, strong powers concentrating towards the previous spot. He could easily see two figures standing, both having magic squares in their hand, and recognizing one of them as Shane, the other, to his surprise, is his mysterious and heroic father, with a gigantic magic circles in hand.
"Oh my, now this is a mess......" He backed off a step subconsciously,with that a glowing white magic square appeared on his hand, expanding quickly to almost one meter diameter."Border......Double Barrier."

Waiven glanced around feeling a familiar energy, "H-Harker?" he quickly decided to worry about it lter and focuse on the battle, he placed his paws together and bowed his head with eyes closed, "please dont get hurt.... please stay safe..."

     Shane panicked as the fireballs approached out of thin air, no less than seven Fivestrike Fireball spells of varying strength and size materialised before him. They all fired at the same time, engulfing the oncoming strike and moving towards Terin. He simply destroyed them in several columns of fire.
     "Come on! Move!" The old wolf goaded. Shane couldn't. He was so tired; the panic reaction had consumed double the required magic and had eaten at his body strength too.
     Terin harrumphed, allowing the spell in the air to dissipate. Then he simply flicked a finger upwards. A circle appeared under Shane and detonated, sending him into the dirt on the other side of the crowd.
