Before you read this is my opinion;
I don't understand why there are so many furry dens... They seem all the same, really .-.

Then this~

When people like to talk shit when they have no evidence? For example; people love to talk how the fandom is a gross community filled people who love to get it on in animal costumes... I mean yes there is a inappropriate side (almost everything has a bad side) but people, rather than looking deeper love to assume. Plus social media likes to throw up a bunch of random shit that people tend to feed on. They need to get their facts straight before blabbering about things unless they know what they're talking about. It's pretty annoying.

There are way to many things being thrown up now a days about how furries are the next Nazi's and all that and how we are nasty and well I am tired of it I was just beat up because someone found out I was furry and gosh all this bullshit is sooooo annoying.

Decided to try and find some people to play things with yesterday.
Wrote a nice long post clearly describing what kind of people I'm searching for.


Today, I woke up to 15 new friend requests.
In addition to the ~15 ones I got yesterday.
From what I can tell, not a single reply is from another woman.


I also ended up having my first real encounter with an actual fedora-neckbeard-niceguy-stereotype thanks to this.
It was... Interesting... To say the least.


All because I accidentally mentioned I'm a girl in my post.
It's like I have no sense of self-preservation whatsoever.


Tho in all honesty, I really didn't expect things to turn out like this.
I've tried looking for people to play with in similar ways before, and it's never exploded like this.


I should probably also mention that most people have been really nice tho, this is not a hate-rant about men in any way (or well, except for that small note about that one guy). I'd love to try and befriend all of those who turn out to be decent people, but at this rate, I'm going to get the worst social burn-out I've ever experienced x-x'

I've never met a neckbeard in real life yet (and not too much on the internet either). But I'm going to a grand opening event of a gaming/nerd hobby store tomorrow that has game demos for stuff like tabletop and card games which may be a gathering ground for them. Maybe I'll see one or two in the wild?

But really, I'd love to find a cool group of people to play games with myself. It seems like it would be really fun.

Plus, I guess I get my neckbeard fix anyway by browsing a subreddit for stories relating to them...

Worst part is, he didn't seem to be faking it. His name, profile info and avi matched his behaviour perfectly.
I kinda regret not saving the chat-log.
I guess some people probably fake it, but I also no longer doubt that people like this actually exist, tho they fortunately appear to be rather uncommon.

$250 a month added to my monthly debt thanks to my old car breaking down. On top of that, rent is about to go up again plus now, in the first time over the two years I've lived here, the landlords want  $250 upon renewal to cover the use of pool and gym, which they had never charged for before. So yeah, ramen and  $1 rice/pasta packages are going to be my meals for a long while to come >.<

On the topic of Furry Dens (since it came up)


I made the Shy Furries Den specifically as a place intended for shy furries to be made more welcome and where less shy furries might be extra patient and accepting than usual.


It kinda ended up as just a place where anyone went and a a couple of groups sort of took over.  Then there was drama while I was away for a few weeks and it got shut down.  Then other "Dens' started appearing but without the original purpose.


It's kinda annoying but I decided I didn't want to start a new one because "this is why we can't have nice things".


Since that's not actually my rant...


I like getting out things to play with but don't like cleaning them up.

Darrrrrrrrrrrn, I can't go to that grand opening at the game store because I have to work tomorrow. Oh well, I guess I can go any other time I'm free and they'll probably have other events going on sometimes. Would have been a lot of fun though :p

On another topic. it's hot -_- Like, getting up to 100 degrees. It's not even the middle of summer yet...
