She took a fleeting, battling glance at the graves. "It's quite all right. I was just leaving." She took a few steps forward hesitantly, as if she was fighting some unseen force trying to hold her in place. More tears began streaming down her face.
A child-looking figure rose from the grave she had touched. "Saphir." It whispered.
Saphir squeaked in surprise, muscles freezing up. "Yonya?" She croaked.
"Saphir, you promised me you would come back and you have. I cannot be mad at you. You did what you could. I'll always remember your promise and I consider it fulfilled. Stop tearing yourself apart." The child's black hair swept behind her ears, she was smiling peacefully at Saphir.
Saphir stared in disbelief at her dead friend. "Yonya, I can't forgive myself for letting you down. I know you mean well, but I won't let you let me off that easily."
"Sapihr, my dearest, I CAN let you off that easily and I just did. You have a better life now that I'm gone, a wonderful boyfriend, two loving parents, a beautiful sister; everything I wished for you has come about. Be happy and know that I am always watching over you." With this, the child disappears back into the grave.
