People were griefed. Some people joined. Tybalt died. Looking for new mods and anti-griefing plugins.

Noooooo not Tybalt... who's tybalt? xD (besides the romeo and juliet character obviously... unless that's the reference). New mods you say  . As for people getting griefed... i just... why do people grief especially on such a small server xD

I am sure if you look around enough you'll see Tybalt eventually somewhere in the forums. Whiever the griefer is, it was probably either a member of these forums or a friend of a member. Some people just like to see the world burn. Although, my house is so far from spawn that I don't think I would be a potential target. Yet.

Hey there! . Griefing is essentially vandalism and stealing of anothers property. Thus it is really hated because it's kinda wrong to take someones stuff without permission or vandalize their home even if it's a game. Luckily my house is in the middle of an ocean so I haven't been a target at all.

There are three main concerns I have with anti-griefing plug ins. The concerns are as follow

  1. IT MUST BE A PLUGIN THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH CRAFTBUKKIT OR SPIGOT 1.8! I'm not downloading external mods, have had too many problems with them
  2. It must not be too laggy, anti-grief plugins, particularly ones that log block breaks, can cause a lot of stress on the server and will make the server more laggy
  3. It must not restrict too much freedom. I like our server because you sort of can build where you want, I don't really want a plugin that sort of micromanagers where people can and can't build too much, sort of takes the fun out of MC.

Based on the comments and the authors notes however, it's incompatible with the latest version of MC, but he's working on an update. He seems to be continuing to work on the project. So I might install it sometime (not tonight) and take it for a test run.

It logs a lot of data, so not entirely sure how they keep it fast, a bit skeptical but we'll see.
