Don't worry, Angder. There is currently no drama happening (and there really hasn't been as much as you're assuming O_o There has been WAY more in other threads) And if any pops up, I will be sure to settle it down! If you spot it and I'm not on the server, PM me!

Angder there hasn't really been any drama to note, the reason you probably see a lot of drama in this thread is MOSTLY because people post in this thread to complain about a problem their having, which I note and deal with (or the mods nic and Evna deal with). The server itself is relatively drama free.

I know lots of people would like treecapitator so I'll look into installing it

Sorry guys, I didn't notice this before, Forge itself is actually a modpack, similar to craftbukkit or tekkit and most of these mods unfortunately require forge, which is incompatible with craft-bukkit. Most mods that were suggested use Forge, this includes the mod in the poll up now (I didn't notice that before).

  I can install forge on the server, if people wish, but this will mean that all current mods on the server will be reset and unusable, this includes ESSENTIALS, which basically is the general admin mod and so forth. Configuring this will take some time so it means the server may be down for a bit, but we shouldn't lose our map, just the mods will be different.

  I'll put up a new poll for that soon, for treecapitator there are, luckily, a few mods on craftbukkit that essentially do the same thing.

hmm we best not use ftb because some people wont be able to run it on 32 bit systems and microsoft is rising the price of 64 bit to force us to go to 8.1

EDIT: anoni forge isnt a modpack it is like the old modloader but does some auto things that is a hook for mods to use that minecraft then knows that its there or something

Yeah technically it's not a modpack, but craftbukkit is also technically not a modpack either, I just use the word modpack because it's easier to say than "mod interface" or something.

There is actually a way to use Essentials with Forge, but you would have to go through the long and tedious process of using "Cauldron" instead. There was a falling out in the modding community and the links to find it are often few and far between. You have to use the "exact" version of Cauldron with the server version or everything blows up.

i know u can chose to keep the seed or save the world and let them get it to load in because then we dont have to start new altho it would give some a advantage over others but keeping the world seed would work because then its a familiar map but a fresh start and there wouldnt be any retrogen needed to load the new ores from mods such as thermal expansion so if we do use a modpack i say we use the same seed but new world save

I found a Forge essentials mod, that works with Forge. It doesn't use the same mods as normal essentials, with the exception of PEX, which is the current mod we use. So we should be able to port the ranks over pretty well, we just might need to change the groups

I'm trying to say however you can use the original essentials that you already have, if you just use Cauldron.

imma gonna go look for a 1.7.10 pack because as i have said ftb wont run on 32 bit systems anymore and microsoft is pushing prices up for windows 7 64 bit so people buy 8.1

I'll look into cauldron WWG, but the essentials in forge actually has a few extra mods that could be useful, including multiworld and a dayvote mod already installed.

I've also added a link to WWG's Tekkit server to the Original post, in case anyone prefers to play Tekkit over vanilla.

Given the fact that the new set of Bukkit plugins are doing the corruption thing again, I say Forge will be nice to try out.

ok ill tell anoni and some mods will be nice because i can teach people how to use them    one mod i must have is tinkers construct because the tools are so good
