Just gracefully let Janine fade from the story, had to heal her leg, but she does not have to reappear, she is healed, now she is just part of the pack.

When we eventually find our characters scattered and away from the pack then we can shuffle their alts out of the story while at the same time give them an excuse of joining back in at a later date with out knowing too much about what is going on with the story.

Well, if it were magical id say chimeras exist but probably just overly large animals that have evolved to kill instead of be killed, maybe a third race that hates everyone and is animalistic but also human
