Blackout grabs the blue strawberry, intrgued. "Hmm. How odd. A mild genetic mutation has caused the surface pigment to change." Blackout put in what would be considered a cupholder, but it sank back into his body. "I would like to keep it for study." He throws another wedding cake.

That's correct. It's a genetically modified strawberry with a trout gene, which has a natural anti-freeze. The natural anti-freeze caused another gene in the strawberry to make it turn blue.
