A House Divided

[Angder]

*Xye comes to the bridge without incident... there appear to be fish in the stream below...*

[Kromas Ndorai]

*Xye keeps his knife on hand, and backs slowly back down the path to the other end*

[Angder]

*Xye heads into the trees... and then realise he never saw the path he cut for himself heading back to the house... err...*

*The trees seem to surround Xye, and the path drops about a foot, as if it had been dug between the trees... something moves to his right, within the trees.*

*Xye turned to the left, moving his line of sight away from what... whatever it was. He began to think over what was happening... The path, the skeleton, the calm, the movement...*
Heheh... Here I am...

[Angder]

*it might just be the wind... but Xye hears... something eery... like a howl carried by the wind and distorted, up ahead of him*

[Kromas Ndorai]

I swear if I hear the words follow me...
*Xye draws his knife, and walks further into the trees, his face dropping to an expression of determination*

[Angder]

*Suddenly something jumps from the trees behind Xye, and leaps at him. It looks like a wolf, but has burning red eyes, lacks fur, instead having black skin as if badly burnt, and has vicious spines growing out of its back...*

[Kromas Ndorai]

*Xye folds his knees, turning and taking the brunt of the impact on his mask*
aRGH, YOU... What are you!?
*Xye pushed it back, to get a better look*

[Angder]

*the thing circles round Xye, trying to get behind him, it is blurry... as if its not really there.*

[Kromas Ndorai]

So... pack instincts, mutt?
*Xye  turned from it, trying to get it to attack*

[Angder]

*As Xye turns away, the thing vanishes...*

*Once again the wind seems to carry a sound... this time laughter.*

[Kromas Ndorai]

Of course. Some eerie forest at the back of a creepy house, and its trying to make me more insane.
*Xye turned to head deeper into the trees, but couldn't see which way...*
Great. Bloody great.

[Angder]

*At this point it occurs to Xye, that from outside the house he could see that the garden could not actually be this big...*

[Crest Is Dead ((For Now))]

Crest- *crest dodges the dagger and picks it up he throws it back at his right side and fires bullets at his left*

*Takes a moment to think, and then carries on walking*
Is this some temporal distortion, or just sending me back a few paces when I walk... Im not going insane.
