Bodysuit without a DTD?
« on: May 28, 2015, 03:24:58 PM »
Hi all! worriejust wondering if any of you have had experience/success with making bodysuits without a duct tape dummy? The one I'm planning to make is all black, so no worries about markings or anything. Could I maybe attach it to clothes? Something like a jumpsuit or the pajamas with the feet? Any help would be appreciated. Also, about how much fur would I need for the bodysuit? I'm really tiny (like 5 feet tall) so it shouldn't be thaaaat much. Thanks a ton for any help guys!  ^_^

body suits need the DTD for the reason that it will better fit you when built on it as for the amount of fur no one can truly say the amount needed

The DTD is mostly there for making sure the suit fits you since it makes a near-perfect copy of your own body when made properly.
It's perfectly possible to make one without one since you can take and make measurements of yourself as needed unlike when you're commissioning someone to make a suit for you.

According to some site,  ~4-5 yards of fur is about the average for making a fullsuit. Like mentioned before, it's better to get too much material than not enough.
