"Trust me, don't bother with that stuff. I've tried telling people that before. It never drives them away." Xander gave Alka a knowing smile as he stretched a little whilst he walked, looking back to Geoff. "You good?"

you have so much responsibility, the only way you're gonna find that easier to handle  is by sharing it with others, you'd be surprised how much people are willing to help friends in need

Zarco - *slowly awakened*

I leave the house for 30 minutes and someone gets themself into a fight..

Zarco - Yeah.. things haven't been so good..

[The Past]

It took a few seconds for Xander's question to register.

"Huh?... oh, yeah," Geoff mumbled. "I'm... good as I could be..."

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka smiled back at Xander and then sighed* Alka: I guess... I guess I just really miss being alive... you know, being able to live without such a heavy burden... It was nice when I was just able to get along with everyone, without having to leave, or cause the ground to shake... or only ever consume one type of food....

[Angder]

Angder moved over to his door, he tried to ope nit with his right hand, his eyes went wide as his fingers slipped off the doorknob. "My... my hand..."

[Zarconite]

Nucleon - *helped Zarco to his feet*
Lets head back to the house and make sure everyone is alright..

Zarco - ok..
*sighed*
I.. I still don't see why they started fighting..

[Chains]

"what is wrong?" I ask noticing angder looking at his right hand.

Xander pats Alka's shoulder. "Wanna hear a secret?" He leans in. "I haven't felt alive in a long time. So in a very small sense, I get what you mean about missing being actually alive, maybe not perfectly but, better than nothing." He goes back to walking, looking back at Geoff again. "Well, I think that's about as much as the rest of us can say. You'll be okay."

[Angder]

"my thumb is... is..." Angder started whimpering.

((My thumb is missing.))

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka chuckles a bit* Alka: Well, someone's gotta relate, right? Well... I guess I'll try my best to be a friend... I'll make you guys some Essence when I get home. Or at least get one of you guys to. And maybe we'll repair Angder's thumb.

"If he even let's you. The hatchet isn't buried just yet. Probably never will be. He hates you for what you are and what you represent. I personally don't know how I feel about you, so I'm gonna do my best not to pick sides too much from now on. At least until I know where I stand." Xander strolls into the building and holds the door open for Kye and Alka.

[The Past]

Geoff said nothing to anyone as went back into his apartment and flopped into his bed. He cocooned himself in the blanket, attempting to ignore his thoughts and making himself lay there until he fell asleep.

"Oh shoot, maybe we can get someone to fix it." I say looking at the thumbless hand.
