Clare, in her search for Crest, overhears Angder talking and stops just before the doorway, listening in.

"If there's anything I can do to help that not happen next time, I'll do it. I feel guilty for accidentally getting in the way last time." He looks at Angder's hand, noting the lack of a thumb.
