In late October, will be going for 1 week to Las Vegas, Nevada - will also visit Laughlin, Nevada too, decided to drive there, along the way I'll be visiting Albie too

I still have lots of time, so at times searching for places to see and do along the way
I know I won't drive 30 hours non stop from Seattle to Las Vegas


will have to stop to get food, gas, stretch, and sleep

Well obviously. Shouldn't really drive more than 10 hours a day. Maybe 16 with like a break in the middle.

national parks and small towns
I has to plan my trip too (as in driving) visit places, and Albie - did tell me on Discord that it will invite meal once I make it

You can always take an unplanned detour

I already added two places that aren't in the exact route but close by - but those are fun

Yup.
I was always fascinated by the side of US. You can drive for 10 hours and don't get anywhere, while here you'd go through 4 countries

for me to reach the farthest place would be over 5 days of driving - longer if you include the time to sleep, eat, and stretch
(Seattle, Washington to Key West, Florida)

My god, you could have an entire vacation in that time
Furthest I've been to required 24 hours of driving, but it was with a bus, so much slower than a car

thats true, if I could take my vehicle in an airplane, I'd do that    then I could just fly to Miami and drive shorter there to Key west - would save time


for now the longest I driven was from Sacramento, California to Seattle, Washington - about 18 hours of driving, did had to stop couple times, either me or family I was travelling with had to eat, use restroom, or vehicle needing gas
we did spend two different nights in rest stops

18 hours doesn't seem like something that needs more than one sleep.

Alone not at all, having friends and family makes it longer
never know when one will be hungry or want to stop for photos or shopping

When we're driving somewhere, even with 3 cars and 12 people, we always say "this is the last stop for the next 4 hours. Get food, go to the restroom." And then we're off after 20 minutes.
