I used to be much more shy than I am now.  To the point that posting on message boards was a nervous experience to me.  I worked on it through the years and I am much less shy now.  I wouldn't say that led me to have more friends.  Turns out most people don't like my personality and only wants to deal with me in small doses, lol.

I'm actually better talking online than face to face, unless it's on skype

I don't really hate my voice. It just sounds weird, but that's because 1. I hear my voice differently than you lot do and 2. it's so different from the voice I use in my head.

Okay maybe hate is a big word. But it's more than just weird for me.

Yeah, I still prefer to not speak if I don't have to. Not only because of my voice but it plays a part.

I have a speech impediment and used to get picked on a lot because of it.  I used to be very sensitive.  Now I have a job where I talk to people on the phone.

Ouch. Not a job for me. I kinda have some impediment too. It's better now than it used to be but I still feel like it can be heard.

Yeah, I didn't think I'd ever take a job like that.  But mortgage bills and food tell me that I need to.   HeeHee
