The doctor looked up, holding the sedative in one hand. "... That's how we start," they said. "What did you think I was doing?" Sighing, the doctor quickly sedated Cassy. "Now, if I'm right, this particular organ should be closer to the kidneys, so all that I'll need to do is break the skin, carefully put it back into place, repair the abdominal wall, and suture the wound shut... No need for a huge scar or anything." The doctor smiled. "If you'd prefer that the scar wasn't there, though, I know an old remedy that can make it disappear." The doctor waited to see if Setcho had any questions. "She'll be just fine... I've operated on crats before."

*Alka shakes his head* Alka: No, it's fine. I go to the gym occasionally to maintain a good frame. It's nice to hear that we have similar thought patterns~

Clare smiled. "Indeed," she said, setting up a blank canvas. "... Hey Alka, how do you feel about me painting a picture of you?"

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka raises an eyebrow* Alka: What, like one of your french girls? At least, I think that's how the line goes. *Alka chuckles a bit* Seriously though, I'm alright with it. So long as you don't expect me to stand in some ridiculous pose for the next hour or so~

Clare grinned mischieviously. "You could just take your shirt off and lie on the couch," she said, giggling. "You know... take a nap or something."




Just before Cassy went under, the doctor patted her upper belly. "You're going to be fine, honey," they said. "I promise."




Cassy glanced over at Setcho and held his hand tight, smiling as she fell asleep.


Pulling out a small, surgery-safe marker, the doctor drew a line between Cassy's navel and the hernia. "She got darned lucky," they said. "A little lower or a little higher, and this would be extremely dangerous. Now let's see..." Picking up a local anesthetic, the doctor carefully began to work on Cassy's wound. "... How did she hurt herself?"

Wayward continued looking around for the source of tw sound, while still hugging Daisy.
"Urh... Any ideas what that was?"

*Alka shrugged and took his shirt off* Alka: I can get behind lying on the couch~ *Alka walks over to the couch and plops himself onto it, lying down and facing the ceiling. His left side being in Clare's direction, the scar on his neck is quiet noticeable*

Daisy blushed darkly. "... I think that was either a cricket or my belly," she said, smiling sheepishly. "I'm a little hungry."


Clare noticed the scar and lowered her ears. "Remind me... how did you get that scar again?" she said, beginning to paint him.

*Alka sighed* Alka: Rope burns from when I was raped. Plus, a little bit of cutting for extra measure. Obviously my screaming in terror and pain didn't allude to the fact that it hurt enough, so he decided to take it upon himself and go the extra mile... *Alka closed his eyes and relaxed into the couch*

"Ah, let's go get some food then. Firstly, takeaway or homemade?"
He thought for a moment.
"And do you mind if I ask what you were going to say before?"

Clare lowered her ears. "... I'm sorry that I forgot," she said, gently continuing to paint. "It's just such a gift being with you that I... I forget things sometimes. I remember most of what you told me... I just couldn't recall where you got the scar."


Daisy blushed. "Well... um..." The celestial wolf rubbed the back of her head.

*Alka's eyes slowly opened, half-mast* Alka: It's alright... We all forget things from time to time. *The same feeling from before comes over Alka and he shudders slightly* What's... wrong... What's happening? This feeling it's just... Something bad is happening or is going to happen. I can feel it. I KNOW it. But... what? *Alka's eyes open the full way and his brown pupils seem to dance, randomly as he draws his ideas onto the roof* (metaphorically I mean)
