The celestial wolf chuckled. "Well, I'm not sure if I'll have the same sort of sandwich," she said. "But if you want a bacon sandwich, let's cook some up."
The doctor sighed and took a seat beside Setcho. "She needs to work on her musculature a bit," she said. "This happened because she probably pushed herself a little far. Now, that organ does sometimes disconnect when magic users go beyond their limits, and normally, it reattaches itself, since crats have a very impressive internal healing process. In your girlfriend's case, however, the organ managed force a hole in the abdominal wall, creating the hernia." The doctor stood up and washed their hands, then got a roll of bandages. "I'm not saying she's not in a healthy condition. She's perfectly healthy. But her inner abdominal muscles are rather weak... Clearly, she hasn't really been able to do any exercises to strengthen them." Sighing, the doctor applied a strip of adhesive bandage to Cassy's wound, then started wrapping gauze around her stomach. "The scar shouldn't be noticeable on the surface once she's healed... You can hardly tell if a crat's had surgery or not. But you have to get her to strengthen her inner abdominal muscles if she's going to keep doing magic. Some stomach vacuum exercises would work best." The doctor fastened the bandages in place with some medical tape, leaving Cassy with what looked like a white sash wrapped around her body. "No big movements for the next few days, and make sure she gets plenty of water. Change the bandages once per day after showering, more if they get wet. If anything else herniates, bring her in."
Cassy began to stir a bit, one hand slowly touching near the bandages.
Clare blushed a little. "Um... No, not yet," she said, cocking her head a little. "Are... Are you feeling okay?"
