(Also, that totally reminded me of this furry webcomic that I'm reading currently called "Our World". It's pretty good so far. Anyways, now that the product placement has happened, I'm going to pop off for a while. Sleep tight!)

[The Past]

((It's mainly what Zarco said that I was pointing out, not the other thing. ))

Geoff finished breakfast and walked out of his apartment.

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka didn't seem fazed by this* Alka: And my real  father is a god who's bestowed  upon me powers in order to ensure I live a safe and successful life. What's the big whoop? *Alka began looking at the gem more closely* How the hell are we going to harness all the energies we need?

*Gaia woke up in her bed with a loud yawn* Gaia: I suddenly don't want to learn anymore spells...

*Alka then got cracking, scimming through the various books, trying to piece together some forumla*

[Zarconite]

*The books went into detail about the exact methods of creating the pure energy, it stated that a glucose solution was needed, along with Mana (a mana potion will substitute), a small amount of energy (A 9 volt battery will suffice). Once you have these ingredients, heat the solution and pressurize it*

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka put the book down and stroked his chin* Alka: A glucose solution... A mana supply... and some... electricity I presume... Heated and pressurised... How am I going to pressurise it though...? *Alka stood up and stretched some more, quickly getting changed before walking out of his apartments*

[The Past]

Geoff was on his way toward Alka's room when he walked out.

"Oh hey," he greeted. "Have you figured anything out--th-the gem thing?"

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka nodded* Alka: Well, turns out that we can draw souls out of these gems using pure energy. Once the souls become one with the pure energy, they can return to a physical form. Unfortunately we have two problems. I have no idea how to get the ingredients beside a supposed electricity supply, and the energy dissipates quickly in air. We need: A supply of glucose, a supply of mana and a supply of electricity, which we need to heat and pressurise. We basically need to attempt to crystallise plasma at that rate...

[The Past]

"Oh... uh..."
Geoff gazed at the floor, rubbing a finger against his chin.
"I dunno about the mana part, but glucose can't be too hard to find, can it?"

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

Alka: We could either get someones blood after they've eaten a glucose heavy diet, or we could get some sulfuric acid to decompose rice, bread and other wheat based foods, or we could buy pure glucose. Unless Zarco already has a stache somewhere. As for the mana... Think there could be potions for that? That's the only way I'd imagine you could get mana in it's purest form.

[The Past]

"I could see Zarc having potions," Geoff said. "Any idea where he keeps his magic stuff? Maybe he has alchemy equipment, too."

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka shakes his head* Alka: I was hoping someone else knew. Me and Zarco... We weren't really friends to a larger extent. We more or less just got along and talked occasionally. For now, let's gather the other ingredients... I already have an idea on what to do to create pressure/heat. *Alka begins walking down the hallway*

[The Past]

Geoff followed Alka.

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka stroked his chin as they walked* Alka: So... I'm guessing Zarco would have a supply of glucose in a medical cabinet. If he doesn't, we get to do things one of two fun ways. As for the electricity... Batteries. I'm going to say we need at least two AAs to do anything. *Alka seemed like he had a clue as to what he was doing, but in reality, he was just going by what he read once in a book, which he skimmed through a few minutes ago*... Mana... Mana... Zarco needed lots of it... *Alka stopped for a second* Ahah! Let's check the kitchen for a mana potion. Zarco would drunk through the stuff like coffee. *Alka continued to the functioning elevator and pressed the button*

[Surge Protectorate]

"So, what do you think of the place?" Two lapines made their way down the path toward the main building. One, a young man dressed in simple, yet well-maintained casual clothing, hefts a bag over his shoulder. "It's... Rather large for the location.", he can't help but note to the other, a doe of similar age, dressed up in formal business attire, who simply nods at the sentiment. "They'll have everything you need. And, Alex?" Hearing her call his name, the male flicks his gaze toward her, only to be swept up in a hug that seemed almost uncharacteristic to one so formally dressed. "I'm glad we didn't have to fight over all this. Money brings out the worst, and I didn't..." Her words are cut short as the buck simply chuckles to her, returning the affectionate gesture. "It's okay, sis. You were the one who could grasp it all, and I didn't want to drag us into the mud over this either. Just make dad proud, yeah?" A few moments pass, the two just enjoying the moment... The last they'd have in a long time, before the young woman pulls back, recomposed. "I have every intention of doing just that. I'll be in contact with you when I get the time." With that, the two exchanged their goodbyes, only for her to start heading back down the way they came... Leaving Alex to take it all in.
