The Fur Apartments: Revamped! <Closed> [PM application only]

((It's no problem. You may notice that introductory posts are a bit longer, as they set up the character and give slight first impressions. Just, don't bother going tooooo overboard on your future ones, as you'll find that you really don't have to say that much to get your point across ))

[The Past]

Geoff stepped into the elevator along with Alka. He wasn't very comfortable being in them after the accident, but he was able to set that aside.
"Never seen him drink potions," Geoff mumbled. "Haven't seen him drink coffee, either... uh... I suppose there could be potions somewhere in the kitchen. It seems to have everything..."

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka shrugged* Alka: It's just a guess at this point. The next place I'd expect them to be is in his room, but I've haven't seen him in the kitchen enough to know if he actually does drink mana potions. *Alka sighed and looked at the floor, as his ears lowered. He was thinking, but his fathers death was still troubling him a bit*

[The Past]

Geoff noticed Alka was upset and figured it was related to the current task, for he was never told of Alka's loss.

When they arrived in the kitchen, Geoff searched around. He wasn't entirely sure what mana potions looked like, but he believed he had a decent idea. If they were anything like those found in fantasy games, the bottle or potion itself was probably blue.

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka searched various cupboards before opening the fridge. He notices a bottle with a cyan glow to it. It was also labelled "Mana Potion". Alka takes the potion out and looks at it* Alka: I've found our potion... Hey, you think you could find me some batteries? The more the merrier.


((I've asked Zarco for where it is in the kitchen/it's look. Just so there isn't any complaints about how Alka knew exactly where to look without there being any actual confirmation to where it is))

[The Past]

"Alright."

Geoff thought for a minute. While he was in the basement yesterday, he saw some electronic stuff. He was sure to find some batteries there. And so he stepped downstairs and searched.

[Zarconite]

*There were two tracked platforms, both seemed to be partially disassembled - Near to them, Zarco had an RC car with a controller*
*Also in the basement were several tools that you would normally find in a workshop, welders, wrenches, saws etc*

*Alka decided to snoop through the medical cabinet to find some glucose tablets. Or maybe a fine powder glucose. He found a packet filled with a few pills. He sighed and took the packet* Alka: I hope this will be enough... *Alka set the ingredients on the kitchen table*

[The Past]

Looking at the RC car and tools, Geoff was reminded of his father. Sometimes he wished he inherited his father's skill in electronics and handy work, but he never really got into that sort of thing. Geoff wondered how he was doing. Probably wondering what the hell he's been up to, for sure. It really has been a while since Geoff ran off on his own. At least his old man could rest easy knowing he got settled somewhere safe. He almost didn't.

Geoff snapped out of his zone and gathered the batteries from the car and equipment. Hopefully it was enough. He headed back upstairs to meet Alka.

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

*Alka looked at Geoff* Alka: Right... We have all the ingredients... Now we need the necessary tools... *Alka grabs a stainless steel spoon and sets it down next to the battery* Alright... I need some alligator clips to hook the battery up to the spoon, but for now, we need to mix the other ingredients... *Alka gets out a small mortar and pestle* Geoff, did you see anything down in the basement we could use to contain the mixture? Something that can withstand heat and apply pressure? *Alka begins grinding the tablets into a fine powdery mix*

[Surge Protectorate]

After watching his sister go, Alex turned his attention to the building before him, peering into the relatively packed in atrium. And was... That an interior garden? How intriguing. With another roll of his bagstrap over a shoulder, the rabbit makes his way inside... Catching sight of a figure darting into the kitchens, even as the doors closed behind him. What was the hurry? Only one way to find out, he supposed...

[The Past]

Geoff frowned. "Oh... No. I-I'll go see..."

He went back down into the basement to look around some more. He noticed a door he hadn't gone in, which was apparently locked. Maybe there was something in there...

He opened his wallet and pulled out a thin piece of metal. He could just try searching for the key, but who knows how long that would take, plus he hadn't had a chance to use his lock picking skill in a while.

Geoff picked at the lock until it clicked open, then peeked inside the room.

[Zarconite]

*inside the room were several notes, schematics, strange alchemial devices, runic drawings, contact details, ingredients, very detailed maps of the area, and gemstones*
*amongst the alchemical devices and glassware there was a metal container with a pressure gauge connected to an air pump of sorts*

*Alka began tinkering with the battery, and eventually found that if he twisted the ends connected to the battery, it would let out some electricity. He found this out, coupled with how tingly a car battery can make your fingers feel. He curses under his breath and sighs* Alka: At least I know how to get this whole thing working... *Alka mixed the glucose powder into some water and stirred with vigour, until the powder was completely dissolved in the water. He then mixed the mana in, turning the mixture a bright cyan*

[The Past]

"Ahaa..."

Just the type of thing he was looking for. Geoff picked up the container and brought it up to Alka.
