Gravel crunches upon the ground as boots come down, their owner falling into a crouch for a moment with a ragged breath. That made a half dozen times Alex run through one of the more basic of the courses scattered around. Clearly, he needed more work. With every run he'd learned a little more of the course, strung things together a little more... But it would be quite some time before he could tackle some of the more complex pieces.
