Geoff slowly regained consciousness, returning to the pain throughout his body. His ribs broken and fractured, he could barely breathe without wincing. He remained where he was left, laying by the city block. Everyone was gone. He could have sworn at some point he heard sirens while barely awake. That means Angder and Alka got the help they needed. But he was left behind. Did they forget about him?
Geoff struggled to push himself up, wincing as pain shot up his right arm and spine. On his feet, he looked out from the surrounding destruction and the darkening sky above. The area was abandoned, and he was alone.
The moments before falling unconscious came back to him...

ANGDER! ANGDER! where is he?
*walking over to geoff*

*turned her attention to the broken fashion store and jogged over*
oh no.......ANGDER!
*kneeling down beside him*
Angder opened his eyes, he looks up at the lioness... "I... is Alka... what happened? Is everyone else OK?"
-kye
*was trying not to tear up*
we stopped it, the demon is dead.....alka, is um hurt....what about you
Teeth clenched and vision blurred with tears, the bear's shallow breaths hardened into stifled sobs, putting more stress on his chest.
Out in the distance the apartments stood. Alka and Angder would have tried to help him if they were capable, he knew. Maybe Gaia and Zarco. But did the rest of the residents there even care?
But why should they? At least Alka and Angder actually helped people in some way, so they deserved the help after all the stress they went through. Geoff didn't do anything good for anyone. All he did was take their kindness and never really returned the favor. Just as he always did.
Giving the place one last look, he shut his eyes tight and staggered off in the opposite direction.
