Xander smiled and took the slice of cake, taking a bite out of it. "You're good people, Geoff."

[The Past]

Geoff smiled, "Uh, thank you."

He shut the door. "Kye's probably out, too..."

She stood up and smiled, following up the stairs.


"Thanks. I appreciate the second set of eyes on this."


She led him up to her room, and upon opening the door they were both greeted by a giant purple crystal hovering in the center of the room. The tables and chairs were littered around it strewn with paperwork and drawings. Two white boards were covered in diagrams and sketches.


"Honestly, I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested in this so I haven't really cleaned up..." she picked up some dirty clothes and put them in a laundry basket.

"It's ok", Ulvus said, giving a wave to signal, it didn't matter, "but this is really intense", he added, looking back at the crystal. "I honestly didn't imagine it being so... big", he finished, walking a bit from side to side, to get more perspectives of it.

Xander sat and ate the cake in the corridor like a weirdo.


Maxwell was in the library again, flipping through a book on the dark arts.

"It is pretty impressive, I'll give it that." she said nodding, still picking up undergarments around the room and depositing them in the bin.

"The thing is, it's not reacting to magic, physical, or psychic abilities. I'm honestly a little lost. It looks like something from another world. The most I can get it to do is thrum loudly when I strike it."

She sighed and shook her head. "I don't want to damage it, but it's very frustrating."

[The Past]

The cat continued wandering around the house. She leaped up through a broken window and softly landed in the cake on the floor.

"Hm", Ulvus said, nodding a bit, as he took in the information, "and, it doesn't react to anything? No potions? Spells?", he added, looking back at Rhosyn, "have you checked the library? Maybe we could find some information there.", he finished.

Angder hears the cat, and his ears perk up. He crouches down, and listens, wondering what he just heard.

[The Past]

The cat, light on her feet, continued to roam, currently in the trophy room. she stepped out, looking for something.

Angder relaxes, sure it was nothing, and sits on his bed.
