So i have been feeling that i should build my own gaming rig but I'm not sure where to start. Does anyone know of a few good sites to get a novice started?

If you're in the US, go with Newegg or Tiger Direct.

I personally don't like the websites that will "build it for you" just because those can be a bit over priced and filled with shoveware, but if that's what you're looking for I can't really give any recommendations .

If you really wanted to Yolo it you could use Ebay, but that's a crap shoot most of the time.

That's very nice. To be honest I didn't expect a reply with a parts list right away. I won't be able to make the purchase right away because I need to sort out pay pal so i can even buy it. But i will bookmark the link for now.

there are plenty of good guides on youtube, if you're looking to install something in particular, just search for it
You should be fine to follow a universal guide on youtube for most of your parts, the only one you may need a separate search for would be the CPU cooler
