The Downfall

[The Past]

Geoff sat down on the ground and pet Al's head. Geoff enjoyed the company of feral creatures, and for the first time since the nukes, he finally found a friendly one.

[Alistair]

Alistair flopped onto his side, letting his head land in Geoff's lap as a few cans of food clattered out of his mane. He must have acquired them during his travels.

[Angder]

Angder looked out at the cat, only his eyes were visible under Angder's clothes, he felt almost ashamed of what he was.

Suddenly he felt Angry. This is not your God-damn fault. You can't help being an overgrown insect, make the bloody most of it you idiot.

Angder looks away, and starts to eat the second granola bar.

[The Past]

Geoff picked up one of the cans and smiled.

Can never have too much food, he thought.

[Alistair]

The massive saber's breathing slowed from a pant to a more normal pace, letting Geoff feel every breath he took while he laid in the bear's lap.

[Angder]

Angder gets to his feet slowly. "We... we need to think about moving out before the suit men attack."

[The Past]

"Yeah... where should we start?"

[Angder]

Angder glances around, "Gather what supplies we can... we should find a car or something"

[Alistair]

Alistair got up from Geoff's lap, snorting at Angder since the saber felt as if he were ignoring the cat's existence.

[Angder]

Angder watches the cat, wary of it, he backs away slightly.

[The Past]

Geoff stood up, gently scratching Al behind the ear.

"Well... No reason to not start now. They could be heading here at any time."

[Alistair]

Alistair stopped snorting at Angder, sticking close to Geoff's side as he collected up the cans of food, and tossed them back into his mane.

[Angder]

Angder gathered the supplies that belonged to him.

[The Past]

Geoff gathered his supplies.

"So, we need to find a working car..."

[Alistair]

Alistair gave a groan and lowered himself to the ground, offering for them two to get on his back.
