"Will do when we return," he uttered in response to Fluffy. Searching for a moment longer, he found a spot that offered the best field-of-fire and minor concealment. Pulling his tripod out from one of the pouches attached to his lower body as well as a sandbag, he set the tripod up and tied the sandbag to the center for balance in case the wind decided to pick up.
Settling into position with his lower body laying down fully, he rested the rifle well-forward on the forearm and peered through the scope, watching as the two approached. He also noticed that one of their team members caught up with the group and smiled slightly, taking note they had decided to run the distance.
"Have fun catching up?" he murmured with a chuckle.
(Quite true. Especially since it seemed as though he had an important character in play who knew of our critters approach.)
