Is strange bad?
It's truly indefinable, and I really don't know how far research can take you.
And of course it promotes gay culture.
It in no way enforces it, but due to free expression, and common knowledge that we are already pretty odd, we can comfortably be queer.

You could say the same for the anime fandom too :p What specifically do you find "scary"?
About the gay part, the furry fandom is generally considered a pretty open-minded fandom so it would make sense people would be more open with who they are in it.

Gay culture is scary and strange? I wouldn't say it promotes it, it's more that pretty much everyone is fine about it, more open about it. There's just a lot of people taking part in the fandom who are gay/bi or whatever. The influence is inevitable. I don't see why that matters?

What else do you find scary and strange?

Random info: I just stood by a window for an hour and thirty minutes, playing guitar and waiting for the postman to deliver a parcel. Did not want to have to go collect it from the depot yet again!

-I've had practically zero parental supervision when using the internet since I was 10. I think I turned out fine though :p

- I'm way too slow to warm up for most people to stand being together with me. Not that I really mind anymore. I'd much rather wait half an eternity to find someone who really understands me than going through 9001 relationships that most likely were doomed to fail anyway. (Doesn't sound cheesy at all)
- Needless to say, I'm really hard to love. Sure, I like to think I'm a nice-enough person and stuff, but I'm -not- the kind of person you'd want to be stuck in the middle of Siberia with. Unless you're as introverted as me or at the very least know to appreciate personal space/me-time.
- That being said, I tend to be really bad at starting up conversations with people. It doesn't mean I don't care or don't want to talk. Just that I'm worried I'll annoy people with pointless ramblings they don't want to hear about.
- I tend to be more attracted to a persons scent than their looks.
- I like ketchup on vanilla ice cream and vanilla ice cream on fries.
