I didnt get into pokemon that much mainly because when i was younger my mom wouldn't let me watch it because it "promoted slavery " like goodness sake its a freggin kid show

My parents can be pretty laissez faire/let us do our own stuff in some ways. I've been using the internet and playing games without much parental supervision since I was in elementary school. But it's not like I do anything illegal or inappropriate... X3

And yet in other ways they can be pretty...not. I'm going to hang out with someone they don't know? "I don't know, you need to tell us everything about them and what time you'll be home, what you're doing, etc..."  ^^' Most of the time it's not too bad I guess, and even though I'm 18+ I still live under their roof so they've got rules too.

Mom always thought video games were better than "just watching TV", so she never had any issues with those. She actually used to play a lot herself back in the ages of SNES/N64/PS1/PS2. She was even better than me at one point (not that that's much of a compliment. It's just weird to think back and realize that there was a time when mom could beat me in pretty much any game we had.)
