The school I ended up at after moving to the orphanage decided it disliked me right from day one, without me really doing anything that'd warrant me getting treated badly.
I wasn't even a furry or wearing collars at the time.
All I did was getting placed in the special needs class (without needing to be there since -before- I moved I was in a "normal" class and had above-average grades in pretty much every subject) and not letting peer pressure dictate how I looked, dressed or acted.
I guess that the thought of someone who didn't share their messed-up hive-mind must have scared them or something..
