The Mantis notices the jelly threatening him and stands in front of the friendly jelly and hisses then hurls a ball of acid at the enemies weapon then proceeds to try to claw the jelly...

His shields flaring as the acid rolled across his arms and armor, Galen sidesteped to avoid further impact. A hardlight blade held in his right hand, resembling a large bowie glowing a foggy orange as energy cycled through it, was brought down swiftly on the mantis' ragged appendage.

[Naval]

It screams in pain and jumps back to hurl more acid and tries to see what you do next..

[Farewell]

Subject-11 knew that the guard would harm. She have felt the pain before the horrible pain. Sing the large praying mantis defend her, she began to flee. Huffing the alien studied the area. "Where... Where can I go?" She asked herself. "This facility is so new I have no chance..." Turning around she went back behind he mantis snarling and her fur standing up. The tip of her tail swaying back and forth showing aggression, ears laid flat against her head while giving her large threatening snarl. "Do not aim weapons at me"

Galen deactivated the hardlight blade, which dissolved into a fine orange plasma as it was stowed, acid flickering down the invisible barrier which covered his combat skin.
Corrosives were nothing to energy shields. It was impact and blast damage that would pose an issue. Considering that the mantis didn't seem to have any C4, the latter probably was not an issue.

Reaching for his rifle again, he restated "In your cell."
His medallion glowed as a fine tendril of blue mist enveloped his off-hand.
Casting it in the direction of the aberration, it dissolved upon contact with the mantis.
It might not have a sane mind, but its speech would be understandable for the time being. If it considered speech a possibility to begin with.


Turning to see the second creature speaking to him, he kept it in the edge of his sight.
In an attempt to prevent further agravation of the subjects, he shifted his position to aim specifically at the mantis.

The mantis noticed your retreat.SO It unfolds it's wings and fly's off with Subject 11 and fallows behind.Hoping this jelly knows a way out and it is it's only friend..So it tries to blocks any shots and hopes that the escape comes soon..Then a sudden...shocking it's mind allows the language to become easier to speak.Then in a craky and raspy voice it speaks."I Want freedom and I must know the need world..And now I have jelly friend soo I would rather die then go back in green hell."

Galen looked down the magnified optics of his kinetic rifle, placing a single high-energy beam of crimson energy in the direction of the mantis. Shifting his feet to a digitigrade structure to aid in maneuverability, he bolted down the corridor as fast as he could while keeping a steady aim. As the bolt of the weapon auto-cycled, he stowed the weapon and brought his left hand down to unholster his pistol, sending a few shards of orange hardlight down the hall towards the creatures, golden wisps marking their trajectories as they went downrange.


This was his first day here. There was no way he would allow a breach of such a scale. Not again.

As the shots hit the mantis it screams and tries to not attack and just escape.."Why must I be here..I never wanted to live my life in a cage!"It takes just one moment to look behind it's self and hurls acid at the floor and in hopes to melt or make a barrier for a moment..

Shifting his wings outwards in a flash of falling blue mist, Galen pushes himself over the seething corrosive semifluid before stowing them again. Sending more shards of hardlight towards the mantis in rapid succesion, his hand flicked down to his side, reaching back up to slide another power cell into position in one fluid motion.


Hearing the mangled speech of his target, he replied "You are a hazard to society!"


Switching weapons, he shot another blood-red beam towards the mantis.

[Naval]

The mantis can only take soo much pain..It wasn't that the weapons could kill him.but it did hurt like hell soo it stopped moving and fell on the floor.."Run..jelly...And all I wanted to be was...free..."It falls asleep and let's it's wounded body go limp and can't move and let's the world go black around him..

[Farewell]

Zaida watched this alarmed what was happening  the mantis falling unconscious from the Guard. staying in place studying the weaponry he held she had choices but didn't want to get harmed. Hearing what he said she did not understand 'what did I do, society, what society?' She thought to herself before remembering the command he had yelled earlier she walked back and sat just were her cell door was in crisscross, she could just run it was foolish this place she wasn't familiar with the surroundings, along with gaining trust... possibly something else would occur in the future?

As new guards flowed towards the corridor, now scarred with various acid and thermal damage marks, Galen cycled his rifle and unholstered his sidearm again. Stepping over the massive insect to look at the Subject who had walked towards its own cell, he gestured towards the entryway as a gentleman might have done so.


"Thanks you for your compliance. I am sure we will be meeting again soon enough. Hopefully under... different circumstances."

Other armed personnel did their best to heave the unconscious mantis into its cell, shutting the cell doors of both subjects.
Remembering that there was a rogue AI in the mainframe, Galen shot another beam from his kinetic rifle, obliterating the control panel to both creature's cells.
"I doubt our little virus will be able to hack his way into scrap metal." he added.

[The Past]

Japathok was at first unaware her door had opened, but once she was, she took the chance to step out and look around. She wasn't dumb; she knew this wasn't supposed to happen, so when she saw the guards march in, she backed up and into her cell again. Of course, if she really wanted to, she could charge through those guards, but she figured it wasn't really worth the effort. Compliant behavior meant good treatment, so she won't tarnish her reputation until the timing is perfect.

[Farewell]

Subject-11 stayed completely silent, barely standing in her cell her glowing eyes a showing her presence... She just looked at the floor with her ears laid back. Her ears flicking at his voice, she looked up her eyes staring before slowly fading into her cell and the door closing sealing tightly shut.
The extra terrestrial sighed in her dark cell walking to her bed and laying down a bit worried for the mantis but was sure it was fine. The subject rested, closing her eyes but not sleeping just worried about testing... Anything but testing..
'Testing...' She cerebrated the word made her fill with emotions... Anger, Fear, Confusion... She hated it. It made her cogitate her rage at the lab... "They deserved it they all deserved it" she hissed lightly. 'I just need to gain trust... Be good' she mentally conceived.

[Angder]

Centipede crawls along the ceiling, it observed that most cells were already open, but there were two exceptions... he watches Galen fry the panels one door, and then move away, but it is also drawn to another room, crawling onto the floor, he notices a Cryo-tube inside, turrets and force-fields surrounding it....

A simple locked room is SO BORING, a cryotube looks interesting. Centipede moves into the open door, and watches for a reaction from the turrets, it was time to grant another soul the freedom all deserve.
